My Diet

I've been fairly surprised and impressed in the assortment of foods I can find in St. Petersburg. We've found things I certainly wasn't expecting to...like maple syrup and KFC! ;-) The following is a list of foods I eat fairly regularly. I pretty much only eat meat if we are eating out but that isn't actually much different from when I'm at home!! So here it is...try not to be jealous.

Cornflakes
Bananas
Potatoes in every form- baked, fried, mashed, and boiled
Rice
Milk
Cornflakes
Nesquick
Tea and a wide assortment of cookies and sweets
Frozen vegetables
Yogurt
Cottage cheese(sometimes with fruit or sweetened condensed milk)
Cornflakes
Satsumas
Hot chocolate
Eggs
Pepsi Light
Oatmeal
Occasionally cheese
Blini
Cornflakes
Pasta
Raisins
Almonds
Nescafe coffee
Instant Soup
Cornflakes
Plums
Bread
Peanut butter on bananas
Tuna
Ice cream
Far too many baked goods
AND Cornflakes.

Sometimes when I'm over at other peoples' homes I will be a little more adventerous in my eating habits (not always by choice) and eat things such as porridge with pumpkin and sunflower oil or Kefir which is like thick, sour milk. Yum, Yum, Yum! ;-)

I expect all of these foods to be waiting for us next week. Especially the KFC and maple syrup.

haha only you would make a list like that! Impressive.
Kefir, by the way, sounds terrible!

Blini - do you make this? If so, then you have to make it for me when I come to visit.

Is that all you're eating? Just kidding! What is a blini? I think you explained before but I forgot. Tea and sweets sounds delicious. And think of Kefir as drinkable yogurt. Can you find Yop in the stores?

Oh they have drinkable yogurt. This would be drinkable sour yogurt. Not feeling it too much. Blini are like crepes...I actually don't know if there is any difference from crepes at all. What is Yop?

Yop is also drinkable yogurt, made by Yoplait. It's sweeter than Kefir. It's delicious! How is the sweet selection? Favorite cookies? Favorite candies?

I'm a little jealous of your maple syrup and KFC...we are still lacking down here in Kiev! :)
